2009 Season is just around the corner!

The Lodge at Yes Bay is now closed for the winter after a fantastic 2008 summer season. The season started a little slow with a smaller than normal King Salmon run, thank goodness the halibut fishing started early and continued throughout the season. The Pink Salmon arrived early and we recorded record catches. Ending the season we had limits of Chum Salmon and Silver Salmon nearly everyday. The guests at the Lodge caught almost 50 thousand pounds of fish this season. I had a record season, catching over 650 fish while fishing with guests 77 days, that averages out to over 8 fish per day.

I am making my travel plans to head back up in early May and look forward to another fantastic fishing season at Yes Bay Lodge in SE Alaska.
